ENGAGING THE WORD TO FIND OUT THE
TRUTH ABOUT THIS TIME OF LIFE
A TEACHING BY: ADETAYO
BENJAMIN (SERIES THREE)
We are truly going through hard time and it is very important to
take into consideration that the word of God as contained in the bible is
coming to fulfilment.
For this reason I will like to elaborate on that book of Isaiah
chapter 10. Let’s begin by considering the following;
·
Who are the unjust judges and
those who issues unfair law?
·
Who is the king of Assyria?
·
Who are the remnants in
Israel and Judah?
In our context today, these unjust judges and those who issues unfair law exemplify the
wicked people that are in position of power and this cut across every level of
life. These wicked people are in every continent, country, state, local
government, institutions, council, family and there are scattered all over the
face of the world.
The king of Assyria exemplify the Devil who is also the prince of
this world.
The remnants in Israel and Judah exemplify the saints of God who
will survive this trying time.
What we are
seeing in the world today is a major part of the events that will usher the
second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The current
Covid-19 Pandemic whether it was instigated by certain people in order to gain
world power as we read on the media or it came from other means as a result of
some other causes, I hope to let’s acknowledge this one truth that Almighty God
reigns and HE rules over all affairs of men. So nothing that has happened so
far that God is not aware of.
May I summit
to us that more plague will come even after now, there will be difficult time
greater than what we are experiencing now, there will be more shaking and many
people will definitely pass away with these occurrences, even the saints
(believers) and some of our love ones. This is not a curse and it is not a new
prophecy but the truth that we should be prepared for.
All this
happening in a way is aim at creating fear upon the inhabitants of the world,
but then these are the things that must happen to enable the enthronement of
Christ Jesus as King over this world.
In Isaiah
chapter 10 verse 24 through 25 the Lord God
says, "O my people in Jerusalem,
don't be afraid of the Assyrians when they oppress you just as the Egyptians
did long ago. 25 It will not last very long; in a little while my anger against you
will end, and then it will rise against them to destroy them."
See the reason the anger of the Lord will be vented upon the
Assyrians;
16 Because of all your evil boasting, O king of Assyria, the Lord of
Hosts will send a plague among your proud troops and strike them down. 17 God, the Light and Holy
One of Israel, will be the fire and flame that will destroy them. In a single
night he will burn those thorns and briars, the Assyrians who destroyed the
land of Israel.
18 Assyria's vast army is like a glorious forest, yet it will be
destroyed. The Lord will destroy them, soul and body, as when a sick man wastes
away. 19 Only a few from all that
mighty army will be left; so few a child could count them!
And see what the Lord God said
concerning the remnant
20 Then at last those left in Israel and in Judah will trust the
Lord, the Holy One of Israel, instead of fearing the Assyrians. 21 A remnant of them will
return to the mighty God. 22 But though Israel be now as many as the sands along the shore, yet
only a few of them will be left to return at that time; God has rightly decided
to destroy his people. 23 Yes, it has already been decided by the Lord God to consume them.
(TLB)
So we can see from here that at the
end of the war not everyone survive and return to the Lord but only a remnant.
This is to make us understand that many people
will indeed go with this occurrences.
According to God’s promise this war will not
last forever, it will surely be over. But the big question is;
Ø
Who are those that will be
numbered among the remnant at the end of this war?
TO BE CONTINUED……..
